When some of our most vulnerable members of our society become victims of financial fraud, we need to respond swiftly to hold those preying on our elderly accountable and to assist the victims who often lose their life savings at an age in which are unable remake that nest egg. The stress of loss often shortens the lives of the victims, becoming a form of silent violence.

Dr. Nathan Spreng is studying how brain networks support various cognitive processes such as remembering information, and how we use this knowledge to influence our decisions.
